Healthy number of awards expected in 2008

by Healthy Habits
HEALTHY HABITS healthy food franchise has kicked off the 2008 award season with a great start gaining international recognition, thanks to founder Katherine Sampson being one of six finalists in the renowned "Veuve Clicquot Award".

With 11 awards on the trophy shelf for 2007 including My Business "Best Young Business" award, Small Business Champion "Best Gourmet Food/Takeaway store" award, Unity Foundation "Business Award for contribution to the Indigenous Community", My Business "Overall Excellence Award" and Australian Retailers Association "Franchisee of the Year", the business is aiming for 2008 to be another winning year.

Healthy Habits' Director and founder Katherine Sampson said the awards acknowledged the strength of the brand and the hard work and commitment of the franchise partners.

"Winning the awards has been a major accomplishment for us and it is a great honour to be acknowledged by our peers and business leaders," Ms Sampson said. "Congratulations are due to every member of our team and franchisee network as they have all contributed to our continued success.

"My listing in the "Veuve Clicquot Award" is a personal highlight as it is recognised around the world and only the very best business women are profiled. The other finalists and the winner are all remarkable women and I am privileged to have been recognised amongst them.

"We are now one of the most awarded franchise systems in the market place which has given our current and prospective franchise partners more confidence in our system. We will be entering a spate of awards again this year and as our brand and business is ever evolving we always have something new to share and be proud of."

The future continues to look bright for the award-winning franchise which has already claimed the mantle of Australia's "Number One" sandwich bar franchise.

"This year we're planning to capture a larger chunk of the healthy fast food movement by establishing another 15 new stores along the east coast of Australia," Ms Sampson said.

"In the future we will also be implementing a number of business strategies including expanding into Western Australia and New Zealand which will see us reach 100 stores in the next three years."

Healthy Habits currently has 28 stores located throughout the ACT, New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria.
