Make a Healthy Business ChoiceThe Healthy Habits’ brand is vibrant and full of life. It exudes an energy that makes healthy eating a pleasure rather than a chore.
With over 12 years experience and after opening four independent sandwich bars around Melbourne Katherine Sampson began franchising Healthy Habits in 2004.
In the last 12 months we have opened 7 new Healthy Habits stores taking our total to 32 stores nationally. Included are our exciting new Café style store at Nerang QLD and our first kiosk at Melbourne Airport. These two new style stores give us great flexibility when it comes to looking at different sites and opportunities.
In March 2009 the Dymocks Group, with over 20 years experience in franchising, became a partner in the Healthy Habits business. The combination of Dymocks strength and experience in the Franchise industry with Healthy Habits fresh and fun business model has the makings of a very exciting franchise opportunity.
Customers today want choice and we give them that through our range of fresh and healthy food. Whether it’s a sandwich with the lot, a premade focaccia for those on the run, some fresh fruit salad or a nice coffee we have it all, on display and ready to go!
So what sets us apart from other Sandwich bars? We can tell you it’s not one thing but many, many little things.
The little things that set us apart come together in four key areas:
- Location
- Brand
- Systems
- Support
These key areas combined form the core of Healthy Habits Franchise business model. It’s this model that provides our Franchise Partners with the tools, knowledge and experience they need to help them grow their own successful business.
So that leaves us with just one part missing? Quality Franchise Partners!
We believe in our model, our support systems, the brand and our product offering. The last piece of the puzzle is Franchise Partners that have the same passion and drive to succeed as we do! Putting all these elements together we believe Healthy Habits is one of the most exciting Food Franchise businesses in Australia today!
60 seconds with Healthy Habits MD Katherine SampsonHow did Healthy Habits begin? As a single mother with two children, I needed to take control of my life and I believed business ownership was the key. I purchased a small sandwich bar in suburban Victoria and soon realised the opportunity to expand the business to take advantage of the growing desire people had for healthy fast food. It was a lot of hard work but the Healthy Habits concept was born.
What does the new partnership with the Dymocks Group mean for Healthy Habits? Both companies recognised strong synergies between one another and seized the opportunity to grow Healthy Habits - an already strong and successful brand. We are in a rapid development phase now and the strength and franchising experience of the Dymocks Group will be invaluable to Healthy Habits Franchise Owners.
What advice do you have for a potential franchisee? Research, research, research - know the business you are considering inside out. Don’t be afraid to try a new industry as the true benefit of franchising is the proven systems, training and support provided. Simply, you don’t have to “go it alone”.
Don’t be afraid to ask questions. Talk to existing franchisees about their experiences. Read the franchising trade magazines, newspapers, and websites and attend franchising exhibitions to make sure you have as much information as possible to make the best possible choice.
Above all else, know what your goals are and why you want to be your own boss. It can be a very rewarding choice but it does involve hard work, commitment and passion.
