A Company History

The Granite Transformations story started in 1996 in Perth, Western Australia. The company founders saw an opportunity to develop engineered granite tiles being used to resurface ancient floors and walls in Rome into a high quality and durable benchtop material.

Our unique product and installation methods were pioneered by Granite Transformations in Australia, quickly changed the face of the kitchen renovation industry before moving abroad.

The success of Granite Transformations is the result of combining a unique product offering and solid business model. Once all systems for operating the business had been successfully proven the first franchise license was granted in 1997 to a Perth builder relocating to Melbourne. The success of the first building and utilities franchise branch marked the beginning of a highly successful initial growth period, which led to the concept being exported to the USA in 2001.

Since the first step outside of Australia, Granite Transformations building materials franchise has grown to be a truly international business. Licenses have now been granted to franchisees or master licenses holders in Australia, New Zealand, North America, Canada, Europe and South Africa with planning now well underway for expansion into new markets in Asia and the Middle East.

There are currently over 150 Granite Transformations branches operating world wide and growing, turning over in excess of $200 million dollars annually.

A successful past forms the foundation of an exciting future for Granite Transformations franchisees, our product partner, The Trend Group continues to develop new colours and styles at their plant in Italy to ensure Granite Transformations remains a cutting edge business well into the future.
