Go Gecko ’s inaugural National Awards for Excellence has recognised outstanding achievement in real estate sales and operations of franchise agencies. The Go Gecko Property Sales annual awards were held November 2009 at the Novotel Twin Waters Resort on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland.
Geoff Doyle, Chief Executive Officer Go Gecko explained that 54 franchise principals, sales agents and administrators from 29 Go Gecko real estate franchise offices across Australia attend the awards event.
“The Go Gecko group has now saved vendors across Australia more than $25 million in sales commission and these awards recognise the people and offices that have been outstanding performers,” said Geoff Doyle.
“Some of our best performers have shown an outstanding dedication to the Go Gecko real estate sales values, as well as a commitment to putting clients first and communicating with them regularly from first meeting to negotiating contracts,” he said.
Go Gecko Property Sales Boondall received the Franchise of the Year award as well as Most Sales by an Office. The property franchise has exchanging 98 contracts throughout the year, achieved by himself and one other sales agent.
Pat Barrett, Go Gecko Boondall principal said he was honoured to receive the awards, as well as a personal award for runner up in Most Sales by an Individual.
“It’s a great achievement to receive Go Gecko’s top award – I have put in a lot of work and have got an excellent team who give 100 per cent commitment and loyalty. I also want to help other Go Gecko agents as much as I can, as a mentor or just with phone support to make their most of their business,” said Pat Barrett.
The Best First Year Office award was awarded to Go Gecko Property Sales Caloundra. This was something principal Shane Strong said was outstanding, particularly considering the financial environment during the year. Shane Strong also won the award for Most Vendor Paid Advertising by an Individual.
The Best First Year Office award was also won by Emma Wallace who now co-owns Go Gecko Property Sales Modbury, South Australia.
Most Improved Office and Most Listings by an Office were awarded to Go Gecko Property Sales Browns Plains, with a peak of 214 listings achieved by the principal and seven sales staff.
Susie Elderidge of Go Gecko Property Sales Nundah-Clayfield won the Administrator Of The Year award.
Bryan Carmichael principal of Go Gecko Property Sales Enoggera-Arana Hills won the award for Most Sales by an Individual and Go Gecko Property Sales Cairns won the Most Vendor Paid Advertising by an Office award.
Finally, Go Gecko Property Sales Gympie principal John Westerlo won the award for Most Listings by an Individual with a peak of 108 listings.
