Gloria Jean’s Coffee wins Franchisee Community Service Award and Field Manager of the Year

Gloria Jean’s Coffees was recently double awarded during the recent Franchise Council of Australia’s regional Excellence in Franchising Awards. The coffee franchises was given the Franchisee Community Service Award as well as the Field Manager of the Year title.

It was Gloria Jean’s Murrumba Downs store that was presented the Franchisee Community Service Award, and Operations Manager, Kylie Kernick, was honoured with Field Manager of the Year.

"I'm deeply honoured to be receiving this award. Our franchisees are committed, dedicated and hard-working, and I'm thrilled to play a part in their success and their Gloria Jean's Coffees journey,” says Kernick.

Kernick managed 35 Gloria Jean’s coffee cafe franchises in the areas of Townsville, South and West Brisbane and the CBD locations. She was awarded for her ability to provide continual support, development and training to all her franchisees, as well as her committed involvement in building coffee house sales and ensuring profitability in each store.

The Murrumba Downs store, operated by Melanie, Vanessa and Natasha Mammone, were recognised for their engagement and contribution to community initiatives and activities. They had also provided their support in natural disasters, local community initiatives and medical charities.

"We have been truly moved by the generosity of our guests and I’m very proud of the amazing support our team members have offered to these causes,” says Melanie Mammone.

The Gloria Jean’s Murrumba Downs coffee franchisee were praised for their involvement in the Disaster Relief Fundraising for the QLD Premiers Flood Appeal in which they hosted a 12 hour trading and fundraising event.

Melanie Mammone says the support of the Murrumba Downs community and their Gloria Jean’s team members have been overwhelming.
