Bullets star Sam McKinnon to share franchising insight at Brisbane Franchising Expo
The franchising advice Expo, taking place at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, 12 – 14 September, is the longest running event of its kind in Australia and a one stop shop for anyone thinking about starting their own business or managing a franchise.
Sam McKinnon, best known for his impressive moves on the basketball court, has now expanded his career into franchising as Business Development Manager for Crust Gourmet Pizza franchise in Queensland and Co-Owner of Crust Gourmet Pizza Bar in Hamilton.
“I still want to play for a few years yet but my sole focus has been basketball for so long now that I thought it was time to combine a few different things,” said Sam.
“You don’t want to be caught short between career paths.”
Crust Pizza is a rapidly growing national franchise, which includes a range of Heart Foundation tick approved pizzas on its menu. The franchise’s focus on fresh and healthy pizza options is what first attracted Sam to Crust as a franchising opportunity.
At the Brisbane Franchising Expo Sam will be speaking to visitors about changing career paths and entering the world of franchising for the first time, giving his advice on how to choose a franchise system and business that is right for you.
Franchising is one of the most dynamic business sectors in the Australian economy, with an annual growth rate of about seven per cent. Anyone keen to find out about running their own business or franchise should attend the Expo, which has a strong practical focus.
