Mike Padden.
One of the nation’s most experienced franchising consultants, As a franchisor he was an inaugural Vice-President of the Franchisors Association of Australia (now the Franchise Council of Australia). Franchise Systems was the first franchise consultancy to become a member of the Association. Mike’s prior business background includes management positions with food and pharmaceutical companies such as Abbott Laboratories, Richardson Vicks and CSR. He became General Manager of a franchised multi unit retail chain with outlets in six countries. He has consulted to franchisors in a diverse range of business sectors over the past thirty years. Mike continues to operate in franchising at all levels. As a Just Better Care franchise owner in 2011 his franchise was voted Just Better Care Franchise Of The Year.

Bill Lockett.
With a 40+ year career spanning Australia, the United Kingdom, China and Papua New Guinea, Bill has a wealth of franchising experience especially when it comes to international expansion. Bill’s background in retail – he held senior management positions with major retailers around the globe (David Jones, Coles Myer, Burns Philp, John Lewis) – has led to shopping centres, variety stores, hardware chains, small retailers and government institutions seeking his business advice.Bill’s focus is on operational aspects of running a franchise business. This includes business culture and value systems, organisational direction, business plans, franchisor and franchisee financial projections, performance measures, planning and opening stores, and development and implementation of training.

Vera Randall.
An Australian Business Woman of the Year, Vera has a wealth of franchising expertise having built a large operation across seven countries. Vera founded Knitwit, the home sewing business which grew to 175 franchises over 22 years. Her next initiative was turning her attention to helping emerging and mature franchisors set-up their own businesses. A sought after conference speaker and mentor, Vera also conducts a range of practical Franchising Training Workshops for franchise owners and managers.

Bram Baker.
The winner of a number of franchise awards, Bram’s expertise in franchising comes from having worked in the industry over the past two decades – including development of the iconic franchise business, The Cheesecake Shop. Bram was General Manager of The Cheesecake Shop and looked after the Marketing and Operations divisions. During this time he conducted a complete review of operations (200+ franchisees) and introduced new systems for the Master Franchisees (seven Master Franchisees across Australasia). He also spent three and a half years as a franchisee. One other iconic franchise business Bram has been instrumental in working with is Sola-Tube where he developed their franchise operations and training manuals. A franchisee with Just Better Care, Bram won National Franchise Of The Year for two years. He is on the panel of mediators with the Federal Government’s Office of the Mediation Advisor… is a former member of the Franchise Council of Australia Committee… has spoken at Franchise Council of Australia functions… conducted seminars on franchising and customer service all over Australia… and contributed to various franchising publications.
