Small business heroes celebrated by Franchise Council of Australia at Queensland franchising awards
Friday 10th September saw the national Excellence in Franchising Awards roll in to Queensland, with the Franchise Council of Australia celebrating winners at the Novotel Brisbane.
The franchise advisory body awarded Bruce Campbell, franchisee with Action Coach the Queensland Franchisee of the Year award for franchises with less than two staff.
Bruce is currently ranked as the number one business coach among 1200 Action Coaches globally, and has double the sales at his franchise in only two years.
His commitment to customer relationships saw Bruce invest in a CRM program to manage prospects and clients – increasing productivity in his business and providing more time for his office to better service their customers.
The Coffee Club franchisee Carolyn McManus was announced by the franchise advisory body as the Queensland Multi-Unit Franchisee of the Year, marking her second consecutive year winning the award.
Carolyn operates four Coffee Club franchises, employing 57 staff, and has achieved strong sales growth at all her stores over the last three years.
The franchise advisory body recognised Carolyn’s structured and successful management system, that includes a general manager, accountant, group quality and assurance manager and group training and marketing manager, as well as store managers.
This chain of command allows Carolyn to dedicate her time to the strategic development of her businesses.
Other winners announced by the franchise advisory body include:
- Jo and Maurie Patterson, Bakers Delight Caneland/Mackay (QLD Franchisee Community Service Award)
- Elton and Cindy Berrange, Grill'd Chermside (QLD Franchisee of the Year - Two or more staff); and
- Louise Broekman, HR Coach (QLD Franchise Woman of the Year).
