The Coffee Club expands overseas
One of Australia's fastest growing locally owned retail coffee chains, The Coffee Club , is spreading its wings overseas. The master franchise has just been sold in Dubai and Korea, in addition to the three Coffee Club stores already operating in New Zealand.

The Coffee Club recognises the success of the business depends on its franchisees, so the head office staff work closely with all franchisees to deliver a better enterprise. It is this 'can-do' attitude that The Coffee Club will be taking to its overseas outlets.

Step up for Boost
Boost Juice founder Janine Allis is stepping out of her role as CEO to make way for current chief operating officer and Viva Juice co-founder Simon McNamara.

McNamara is to take over as CEO with immediate effect, focusing on brand building through new product development and strategic acquisitions in Australia.

Allis will move into a role as executive chairman, enabling her to focus on the company's rapidly expanding international operations.

"As a pioneer of the juice business in Australia, Simon is the natural choice to take the reins at Boost," said Allis. McNamara intends to use his experience in the juice market to continue building the Boost brand in Australia.

Eagle Boys  partnerships fly with savings
Eagle Boys Pizza has signed multi-million dollar deals with two of its leading suppliers AMCOR and Manildra Flour, which will provide significant cost savings to its franchisees.

AMCOR has been supplying the company and its franchisees with pizza boxes for over 15 years, and Manildra Flour has provided the key ingredient for their bases for over five years in NSW and WA but now have the national supply account.

Brumby's Bumper Year
Brumby's Bakeries Limited has reported a 21 per cent increase in net profit after tax for the full year to June 30, 2006 to $2.08 million.

Brumby's managing director Michael Sherlock said the earnings increase was led by a growth in revenue of 19 per cent, from $8.35 million to $9.92 million as well improved efficiencies in operating costs.

"Brumby's stores have achieved organic sales growth of up to 12 per cent during the 12 months to June 30 as more customers are attracted to the promise of preservative-free bread baked fresh the day of purchase.

"Brumby's expects this trend to continue as part of a growing movement among consumers searching for 'fresh' food". At June 30 there were a total of 316 Brumby's franchisees across Australia and New Zealand.
