Franchise Council sets awards ball rolling

The Franchise Council of Australia (FCA) is calling for entries to the MYOB Excellence in Franchising Awards for 2009.  Entry registration closes on June1 with submissions due June 12.

The FCA has linked with the Franchise Relationships Institute and reviewed each of the awards to ensure they are relevant, objective, thorough and useful and there are some significant changes, with more focus on individuals within the franchising arena at both franchisor and franchisee level.  

This year the following will be awarded:

• Established Franchisor of the Year
• Multi-Unit Franchisee of the Year
• Single Unit Franchisees of the Year : Franchisee owner operators (including partner) with up to one staff member; and Franchisee owner operators (including partner) with two or more staff members
• Franchise Woman of the Year
• Supplier of the Year
• Franchise Executive of the Year 
• Field Manager of the Year 
• Excellence in Marketing 
• International Franchising 
• Contribution to Franchising 
• Franchisor Social Responsibility 
• Franchisee Community Service
