Foodco franchise question and answer
Muffin Break : 160
Jamaica Blue : 45
What kind of marketing and training support do you offer franchisees?
MARKETING: Foodco’s own marketing department creates and implements marketing and promotional materials for both Muffin Break and Jamaica Blue. We develop annual marketing plans for both concepts to focus on, and promote, the core brand values of each concept.
Our marketing initiatives are designed to build sales and increase strong brand image. We communicate regularly with franchisees regarding in-store activities. Each Muffin Break and Jamaica Blue store is encouraged to build its own local store marketing initiatives with the assistance of our marketing team and a local store marketing plan.
TRAINING: Foodco is committed to providing extensive initial and ongoing training to franchisees. All franchisees will go through a training program, including a week-long business training workshop and two weeks of in-store training. On site training is conducted for an initial opening period followed by ongoing training and advise through regular visits by the store’s operations consultant.
Foodco has developed a nationally accredited training program and industry recognised qualifications. These are offered through ongoing training available for staff and franchisees and include: barista training, baking workshops, customer service and marketing training.
On average, what is the estimated annual salary of one of your franchisees?
Subject to the Muffin Break or Jamaica Blue café being well managed by the franchisee, the occupancy cost being satisfactory and operated in accordance with Muffin Break or Jamaica Blue’s normal standards, a return of up to 20 per cent before debt service and taxes can be achieved. Unfortunately, Foodco cannot and does not make any sales forecasts or projections.
