Fastway Couriers service Roses Only during Valentines peak period
For the men and women charged with the responsibility of delivering Valentines Day items of endearment it’s all about doing their best to get the love delivered on time, and with care.
In actual fact, the week preceding Valentine’s Day tends to be one of the most colourful and busiest, outside of Christmas, for the 180-strong team of Courier Franchisees at Fastway Couriers Sydney.
35 year old Haythem Ahmed, Courier Franchisee for Rosebery, has been servicing renowned online florist, Roses Only for the last two years.
Haythem, a resident of Kogarah explained, “They usually send up to 700 bouquets in the lead up to Valentine’s Day. They’re one of my top customers and it’s such a great feeling to be able to personally deliver these special packages”.
Peter Goldsmith, Chief Executive Officer at Fastway Sydney describes the scene at the depot at Homebush as a welcome change from the typical brown cardboard boxes that typically festoon the 15,000 sqm depot floor.
“Valentine’s Day often marks a significant spike in freight movement with thousands of additional parcels passing through our doors. We’ve got a number of Couriers in the depot that service florists and they ensure those deliveries are an absolute priority” says Peter.
Peter believes that their strong focus on providing excellent service to their local customers is key to why Fastway courier franchise in Sydney currently service a number of Australia’s leading florists and gift specialists in the Sydney region.
When asked if there was a down side to servicing one of the countries largest online florists, Hatham says, “Most men can get away with a card on Valentine’s Day, but I’ve got no excuse when my wife asks me why I didn’t bring her home a bunch of roses.”
