A history of successful franchises … with Fastway Courier franchise
According to the Fastway franchise , there are many examples of highly profitable master franchises that have advanced the concept of franchising to where it is today. Through the successful formulas used by these companies they are now household names and generating revenue in the billions.
Well, there are many successful courier franchise partners too. Something we don’t read about as much. The success of many franchisees who have invested in a franchise with Fastway Couriers, are prime examples of franchising at it’s best.
After 21 years the Fastway franchise has produced many success stories. Like Glen Geltch who has been a courier franchisee for more then seven years, first in Sunshine Coast and now operating his mobile franchise out of the Northern Rivers depot. Originally a fisherman for 10 years, Glen has used his people skills to build and split the territories he has owned, time and time again. Earning fantastic capital gains, keeping healthy and enjoying a great lifestyle has kept Glen buying and selling Fastway franchises within the network.
What about Yasar Koroglu and Taner Sogutlu, two franchisees that own eight territories covering the Sydney CBD and an additional four other Sydney-based franchises.
Yasar began with Fastway Couriers as a contract driver in the Sydney CBD area and soon recognised the opportunities which the courier franchise offers. In 2001 he purchased his first two franchises in Wetherill Park.
“I attacked the territories with a lust for profits,” explained Yasar. “Within six months I was able to generate additional retail turnover without needing larger capacity vehicles simply by converting customers to the right labels. I then decided to purchase another franchise at Marrickville and within six months retail turnover has doubled.”
Another courier franchise owner Taner joined Yasar as a partner and between the two of them they bought all the franchises within the Sydney CBD. Since January 2003, they have broken all Fastway franchise sales records as well as providing the Sydney CBD with excellent professional service.
It’s not just courier franchisees that have outdone themselves. The regional franchisees who and manage the depots have their own growth and profits to boast about.
26-year-old Anthony Hamod is the youngest owner of a Fastway regional franchise.
“I can see the surprise in people’s faces when they realise that I’m the owner of the business. So far though I haven’t found my age, or lack thereof, to be a hindrance,” he said.
Anthony owns the courier franchise in Wollongong, managing a team of nine courier franchisees. His sales and service standards are excellent and having just moved into a new depot, he is experiencing fantastic growth in his Fastway franchise.
Tony Duffy started as a courier franchisee before taking the next step and becoming the regional franchisee for the Newcastle area in August 1995. Maureen Bloemers also started with the Fastway franchise in 1995 and together they have built a thriving business where they complement each other. Not only have the won numerous awards within the Fastway franchise but they have introduced new initiatives, benefiting the Fastway franchise system in all 15 countries around the world.
The Fastway franchise offers a tried and tested system for anyone wanting to be their own boss. Through ongoing support and training, no matter what your experience, you can be a successful owner/operator. With a perpetual franchise agreement, no renewal fees, a five day working week and the opportunity for capital gains, Fastway regional and courier franchises are a solid investment.
