They judged all the companies on the same objective merits regardless of their country of origin or size. The one requirement for this ranking is that each franchise must be actively franchising.

So for this reason, aspects such as what community projects or charity work the franchise is engaged in and what procedures have been put in place in order to make the franchise more environmentally friendly were also taken into consideration.
