Franchise opportunities in coffee vending are planned for Espresso Vend Australia, which has recently established two master franchisees in New South Wales and Victoria.

Another three master franchises are on the cards for the two cities within the next six months; each master has the opportunity to sell and oversee a minimum of 36 franchisees. And there are further expansion plans for regional areas in 2011.

Espresso Vend Australia supplies espresso coffee vending machines in the workplace.

Director Adrian Sclanders said Australians’ taste for premium coffee equates to a significant loss of productivity when employees leave the workplace in search of the perfect cup of coffee.

Espresso Vend Australia helps buinesses to regain that lost productivity but also offers their employees a better coffee experience at a lower price than they will find elsewhere.

There is no cost for a business to install one of our machines in their workplace, which means there is no risk to them. Because we have lower overheads than traditional coffee shops we can offer their staff low prices of up to $2.50 per cup.

The franchise has its origins in South Australia, where it trades as Altura Espresso Vending, and has supplied premium AA-grade coffee to the hospitality industry since the 1980s. Sclanders said the company is the first and only firm in Australia to use AA-grade coffee in vending machines. There are 30 coffee vending franchises under the Altura banner across the Eastern Seaboard.
