The Eagle Boys Pizza franchise and how you can get involved

by EAGLE BOYS

The story of the Eagle Boys Pizza franchise began in 1987, with the opening of the very first Eagle Boys outlet in Albury in 1987. The Eagle Boys Pizza franchise has grown to be one of Australia’s most successful home delivery and takeaway pizza franchise systems.

The pizza franchise primarily concentrated on servicing the regional and rural towns of New South Wales and Queensland. This has proven to be a very successful strategy for the fast food franchise, capitalising on under-serviced areas, local ownership, great customer service and quality pizzas at an affordable price. The Eagle Boys Pizza franchise network now has 160 franchises open throughout metropolitan and regional cities and towns in Australia.

The Eagle Boys Pizza franchise is constantly on the lookout for retail-minded franchisees with excellent communication skills, a desire to succeed and a thirst for knowledge and learning. Two different styles of franchisees operate Eagle Boys Pizza franchises:

Single Store Operators run one pizza franchise and are quite comfortable in a hands-on role, working predominantly “behind the counter”, running the premises on a daily basis as well as being involved in the local community and local marketing initiatives.

Multi Store Operators own several pizza franchises in close proximity and will work more in the capacity of a “Business Manager”, responsible for the ongoing management, administration and marketing of their businesses in their pizza franchise territories.

Both operators will be required to be highly motivated self starters, with a clear understanding of customer needs. Business plans for the fast food franchise will need to be constantly reviewed, the team will need to be constantly motivated and the focus will need to be on the job at hand.

The first step to becoming an Eagle Boys franchisee is to thoroughly research the Eagle Boys franchise system. Potential franchisees are encouraged to make phone contact with the pizza franchisees to discuss the fast food franchise system in depth. Those wishing to become Eagle Boys Pizza franchisees are invited to spend some time in an existing Eagle Boys franchise, in order to obtain a first hand insight into how a fast food franchise outlet operates. The fast food franchise worlds can be quite draining on time, energy levels and family. This experience will cement a potential franchisee’s decision to either join the Eagle Boys team or not to proceed any further.

The National Office is there to assist franchisees every step of the way in establishing their very own pizza franchise. The Eagle Boys Pizza franchise has assembled professionals in the fields of operations, construction, administration, marketing, legal, training, management and information technology. Each pizza franchise has an allocated Franchise Business Manager who resides close to the respective franchise territory. The Franchise Business Manager visits each fast food franchise on a regular basis and they provide objective guidance regarding operation of the pizza franchise.

Each franchisee undergoes a seven week training program in the operation, marketing and administration of an Eagle Boys Pizza franchise. This fast food franchise training includes raw food handling procedures, production, customer service, marketing, staff selection and training, computer training, management and business administration. Franchisees will have access to the world class Eagle Boys Pizza franchise software and computer systems, as well as Systems Manuals. These set out information regarding pizza franchise store management, staff relations, product quality, stock ordering and supply, among other things. The Systems Manuals are designed to ensure that all fast food franchisees and staff know exactly what their job is, and how to do it, with the objective of achieving and maintaining consistently high service standards for customers and maximum profitability for franchisees.

Franchisees can rest assured that each Eagle Boys Pizza franchise is backed by a successful marketing campaign. Franchisees will be required to commit to a substantial amount of time, effort and money to the initial launch of the store. This initial launch will be strategically planned by our marketing team, with regards to the conditions of the particular market catchment. An ongoing contribution to the National Advertising Fund, which is 6 per cent of the pizza franchise store’s weekly net sales. Up to 4.5 per cent of the fast food franchise store’s weekly net sales will need to be invested in local marketing and advertising campaigns. The exact investment on local marketing initiatives will be subject to a number of particular Eagle Boys Pizza franchise store conditions such as competitive activity and territory population. The Eagle Boys Pizza franchise has a clear understanding of it’s customers and how to attract them. This has been driven by market research and past experience of running pizza franchises.

The cost to establish an Eagle Boys Pizza franchise varies across Australia. This usually depends on variables such as local council requirements of the fast food franchise, local contractor rates, site of premises and Lessor works negotiated. Variations in the “Opening Marketing Promotion” budget and equipment purchases may also have a bearing on the establishment cost of setting up the pizza franchise. The cost to set up a new non drive-thru fast food franchise can range from $280,000 to $360,000. The set up cost for a drive-thru fast food franchise (subject to availability) will be in the vicinity of $370,000 to $400,000. Initial capital required to cover opening stock and insurance is an additional $10,000-$15,000 for an Eagle Boys Pizza franchise.
