Eagle Boys pizza franchise Wodonga testimonial
Before Steve Lourie and his wife opened their Wodonga Eagle Boys pizza franchise , they decided to try their luck with under a competitor’s fast food franchise system in 1996. The couple decided to operate a pizza franchise as neither had much business experience as well as the competitive nature of the pizza franchise industry. They felt they would both benefit from the support network a fast food franchise system offered. However, the result ensured Steve turned his back on that company and decided to join the Eagle Boys franchise team.
“To say we were disappointed with what we got from that company’s franchise system would be an understatement,” he said.
In 1998, the Louries met Tom Potter, an Eagle Boys franchise representative. After several discussions with him, the couple decided to investigate Eagle Boys franchise. They were provided with contact details of the Eagle Boys franchise national head office. They enquired about finance, marketing, construction and operations and Tom Potter made himself available at all times to answer the couple’s questions about running the fast food franchise.
The conversion to the Eagle Boys franchise went extremely smoothly, with the Eagle Boys franchise construction and training teams supporting Steve and wife every step of the way. There was 10 days down time during which Steve and his staff were trained and the store transformed from the old pizza franchise into the new Eagle Boys franchise. The costs were broken down for the couple, allowing them to acknowledge the pizza franchise budget throughout the transition process.
“In the end, everything was covered with no surprises, and the conversion came in under budget,” he said.
The opening of the Eagle Boys franchise further cemented the Louries as satisfied Eagle Boys franchisees.
“Our opening surpassed all expectations, with our first week’s trade as Eagle Boys and increase of approximately 100 per cent on what we were trading under the previous franchise system. Sales settled at a point of approximately 60 per cent higher than our previous figures. We can more than justify our decision to convert,” Steve said.
The world class computer system ensured the Louries’ fast food franchise began smoothly and consistently performed without a hitch.
“With the application of the systems and computer software, we are no longer tied to the stores as we once were,” he said.
The support didn’t stop once their pizza franchise opened. In fact, the Eagle Boys franchise provides training and development.
“The Franchise Business Managers [and] marketing, training and personnel is great, they are just a telephone call away, and the fact that Tom makes himself available at any time is evidence of his commitment to the chain and its franchisees.”
