Eagle Boys Pizza expect sales spike with new national "phone name"

Australia’s second largest pizza franchise group, Eagle Boys Pizza , is expecting up to a 15% spike in sales following the recent launch of it's new national “phone name” – 1300 EAGLE BOYS.

1300 EAGLE BOYS is now live and will automatically channel callers through to their nearest store. The former Eagle Boys number, 13 14 33, will be phased out over the next nine months.

“Eagle Boys stores across the country already receive more than 270,000 calls per month. However, we expect this new phone name to have such a high consumer recall that we expect to receive 20% more calls and generate a 10-15% lift in sales," says Eagle Boys Managing Director, Todd Clayton.

“The decision to change a long-held phone number is never taken lightly, however the benefits of making the move were too many to ignore.

“Research shows phone names are up to 20 times more memorable than simple phone numbers and the more calls we receive, the more sales we make. At the same time, 1300 EAGLE BOYS will increase brand awareness as customers physically dial our name," adds Clayton.

“Importantly, the move means our phone number will now become one of our marketing tools as it not only conveys our number, but also our brand. This new platform also positions us for future mobile marketing platforms,” he continues.
