Local Parramatta resident proposes in Dymocks Parramatta
Daniel Elacci, a local Parramatta resident, had proposed to his girlfriend, Katrina Giannikos, at her much loved Dymocks Parramatta books franchise.
Giannikos is a dedicated Dymocks Booklover Gold Member who is constantly in Dymocks retail franchises searching for the next best read. Elacci knew Dymocks Parramatta was the perfect place to declare his love for her, amongst her love for books.
“My fiancé is a book fanatic! Every time I call her when she is out shopping, she is always in Dymocks,” says Elacci.
“She can spend hours in Dymocks and has about six industrial sized bookcases at home full of different books. I knew that if I was to propose to her, it would have to be connected to something that she loved. Now, every time she walks into a Dymocks bookstore she will reminisce about the day I proposed to her.”
Daniel Elacci had contacted the Dymocks Parramatta owners, Robin and Rhonda, about his plans for the proposal. The Dymocks Parramatta team loved the idea and gave Elacci the support he needed.
“When Daniel called us about his ideas we knew right away we wanted to help. What a fantastic and romantic idea for Daniel to propose to his girlfriend who has been a long time Dymocks Booklover Gold Member and book fanatic of our store. We were delighted to be a part of this special moment,” says Dymocks Parramatta owner and operator Robin Arthur.
The newly engaged couple have yet to make plans for their engagement party and wedding, however there is no doubt books would be included.
“Dymocks Parramatta owners, Robin and Rhonda loved the idea and were extremely supportive and willing to help me. They advised their staff of the plans and helped me set the scene with the sketches my brother drew of Katrina with a whole lot of books,” says Elacci.
“Since my fiancé is passionate about books and can’t stop talking about how romantic my proposal was to her, I couldn’t imagine her not including anything book-related into our special day.”
