Increase in job applications at Dominos Pizza take away franchises spurred by Undercover Boss
Since its CEO Don Meij appeared on Undercover Boss Australia, Dominos Pizza Enterprises has recorded a significant increase in the number of job applications received across its network of take away franchises.
The show gave Dominos the opportunity to showcase the fun work culture and quality experience a career with the company offers, says CEO Don Meij.
“I’m thrilled Australians have had such a positive reaction to the Domino’s Undercover Boss episode. We aim to be an employer of choice and Undercover Boss has helped us to show the nation what our brand is about,” he says.
Don notes that since the show aired, the take away franchises have received more than 3.500 job applications, but are still desperate for more staff.
He invites more people to apply, suggesting that “if you think you could be the next Raj, Al, Louise, Arthur, Tegan or Charlie we would love to hear from you.”
Initially starting his career as a pizza delivery driver while studying to be a high school teacher, Don notes that the company’s culture of promoting internally means that the delivery drivers of today may become the managers and store owners of the take away franchises tomorrow.
“With around 75% of today’s Domino’s franchisees starting their career as a Delivery Driver or Pizza Maker it’s clear to see a career with Domino’s can be a lifelong opportunity,” he says.
