Domino’s Pizza franchise’s top business woman

The Domino’s Pizza franchise partner Kerri Hayman has been recognised as one of Queensland’s top business women, winning a place in the final six of the Telstra Queensland Business Woman of the Year Awards.

Ms Hayman, 33, is the pizza franchise’s National Corporate Operations Manager and is responsible for the operations of Australia and New Zealand’s 147 corporate stores.

She is one of six finalists in the Awards selected from over 2,500 Queensland entries.

Ms Hayman started her career at the fast food franchise 18 years ago as a pizza maker and delivery driver. In 1994, she became Domino’s Pizza’s first female franchise consultant, and a year later bought her own Domino’s Pizza franchise in Brisbane.

In 2000, she was appointed the Queensland, Northern Territory and South Australia Operations Manager before assuming her current roll as National Corporate Operations Manager.

The Domino’s franchise CEO Don Meij said Ms Hayman had made a valuable contribution to the company over many years.

“Kerri has been with Domino’s Pizza for almost two decades and still has an amazing passion, drive, enthusiasm and sense of fun for everything she does,” he said.

“Few people can lead and inspire a team of people in the way that Kerri does. Her sales and store growth, profit results and leadership in training, along with some of the best operational results in our system make her a worthy candidate.

“Kerri is also the most awarded Domino’s Pizza employee in Australia, winning Domino’s Pizza’s top award for innovation and leadership five years in a row. There is no doubt that she is one of our greatest assets.”

The Queensland Telstra Business Women of the Year will be announced on 13 October 2006.

Australian owned and operated, the pizza franchise has 445 stores across Australia and New Zealand, employing more than 11,000 full-time and part-time staff and making more than 40 million pizzas each year.
