Crust Gourmet Pizza has taken away all the guess-work, and all the trial and error of setting up a successful gourmet pizza bar. Here's what you get with Crust:

A Turnkey Business Solution

First, you need the right location. Crust pizza franchise invests a significant amount of money in demographic and geospatial analysis to identify areas which have the key business drivers that will allow our franchisees to maximise sales. Then we assist with site selection and lease negotiation. After this, you need the store fit-out, with all preparation, production and cooking equipment, menu boards, refrigeration, freezers, packaging, signage, branding and ingredients. You get all this - and more - with Crust.

Crust take away franchise reviews its menus annually, adding new combinations and removing any slow sellers. So your menu has been very well researched, with starter pizzas, meat, chicken, seafood, vegetarian and traditional pizzas and calzone. Salad, dessert and beverages generate additional sales.

Strong Brand Recognition

When Crust fast food franchise opens a new store, it sets the benchmark in the area. Brand recognition is strong, so new franchisees don't waste time establishing their credentials with their target market.

Exclusive Territories

Every franchisee is awarded an exclusive territory, which takes into account population and household growth estimates, demographics, the proximity of competitors, the delivery area and drive-time analysis.

Wherever possible, Crust will prime the market before a franchisee opens in a new territory. Menu brochures will be delivered to households, and orders will be taken by the nearest Crust franchisee. By the time the new store opens, the locals are ready and waiting.

Training and Management Support

Experience in the food or retail industries is advantageous, but not essential, as comprehensive training is given:

  • Franchisees have a month's training in an established Crust outlet
  • This is followed by two weeks' training in your own store
  • Training includes: Gourmet food preparation, customer service, production efficiencies, computerised delivery system, recruiting and training your own staff, business planning and budgeting, food management and sanitation, OHS compliance and security, advertising and local area marketing.
  • Training is also given in the comprehensive Crust POS system for managing orders and deliveries, financial controls, stock control, management reports, database development and maintaining profiles on frequent customers and their typical order
  • A comprehensive operations manual sets out all Crust systems, processes and procedures
  • Once initial training is completed, regular store visits are made by Crust support staff to track how the business is performing and give ongoing support and advice.

Purchasing Power

Crust has negotiated the best rates with top suppliers for food, packaging, equipment and other necessities. Our franchisees receive a pre-approved list of suppliers committed to providing competitive pricing, a high level of service and high quality ingredients.

Collaborative Development

Crust's quarterly franchisee meetings are designed to drive continuous improvements through our business. They're a great forum for ideas, product reviews and innovations, marketing initiatives and briefings by the Crust management team.

Central Marketing

Crust's central marketing fund supports national print, direct, mobile, interactive and e-marketing initiatives and the group's alliance partnerships with organisations including Open Family Australia, the National Heart Foundation and the Coeliac Society of Australia.

Local Marketing

Crust's philosophy is simple: we keep our customers coming back for more! Word of mouth is our most effective marketing tool, followed by quarterly local menu drops. Targeted distribution of high gloss brochures are delivered for each store every year, with an instant impact on sales when menus hit the letterboxes.

Franchisees are also given guidance on powerful local marketing tools, such as reward cards, sponsorships, local newspapers, radio advertising, building relationships with schools and sports groups, promotions and generating awareness amongst local businesses. Corporate catering, for working lunches and social functions, then becomes an excellent source of business for many franchisees.

Crust's local marketing and community involvement is designed to make our stores become a well-known and well-loved institution in each territory. We know that if we support the community, the community supports us. So we aim to become a very high profile brand wherever we open stores, with a reputation for generous community involvement and a high level of community contribution.

Strong Earnings Potential

The Crust competitive advantage is built on three principles: high product quality, high volume and fast delivery. Our franchisees have all the tools they need to rapidly build their earnings by living up to the Crust promise: great pizza with fast, free delivery.
