The Caltex franchise is one of the leading refiner as well as marketer in terms of petrol products across Australia with its operation in all states and territories. The automotive business is the only petrol refining and marketing company listed on the Australian Stock Exchange and encompasses more than 20,000 shareholders. The petrol franchise own and operates two petrol refineries with a capacity of more than 35 million litres a day.

The Caltex franchise also operates one of the largest oil company retail networks across Australia. The petroleum products of the automotive business are marketed all over Australia through three channels of distribution, namely, wholesale, retail and commercial. The petrol franchise operates service stations along with convenient stores in about 500 Star Shop and Star Mart locations.

The Caltex franchise markets petrol products to commercial as well as industrial customers in the mining, aviation, industrial and transport sectors with its extensive retail network. Speciality products such as waxes, bitumen and gases are also marketed by the automotive business. The petrol franchise has announced that it achieved its year-end target for the number of Caltex supplied service stations selling ethanol blended petrol. 29.04.2008
