It started as a man and his van touring weekend sporting events in Sydney's Northern Beaches. When Andy Simpkin, heading up Belaroma Coffee Roasting Company, the coffee supplier to the business, took over the Cafe2U continues to roll out nationally with franchises from Perth to Mackay.

The brand has kept its unique coffee blend roast but it is not just the quality of the beans and the blend that make a perfect espresso. Barista training is integral to the Cafe2U food and beverage franchisee start-up. Franchisees can serve up to 60 coffees an hour, limited only by the amount of time it takes to heat milk - even dressed up as Elvis, as one franchisee does every year to celebrate the 'King's' birthday.

Sharing the daily coffee break can be the highlight of the business for many franchisees.
