Celebrity chef and football fanatic Andy Lynch joins mobile coffee franchise
From cooking for Dr Who and cheering on his soccer team Burnley FC, to establishing the mobile coffee franchise in the Kenwick and Maddington territories in faraway WA, it has been a giant leap for Kelmscott local Andy Lynch, but he says it is the best move he has ever made.
Andy Migrated to Perth from England in 1997 after working as a chef and cooking for a host of British celebrities. “When working in London, I cooked for a number of TV personalities with Sylvester McCoy, who played Doctor Who, and Todd Carty of East Enders and The Bill probably being the most famous,” he said.
“When I arrived here I didn’t have chance to get jet lag as I started work within two days of arriving and went straight to work as a Chef in a busy hotel in the Perth CBD.”
Andy launched a Kenwick and Maddington territory franchise of the Australian-born mobile coffee franchise, Cafe2U Mobile Coffee Franchise , after a year owning and running a his own cafe. A key factor behind the move to the mobile coffee franchise was the unique “Accelerator Package” the coffee franchise introduced to ensure new franchisees are taking home $500 a day from the first day of trading.
The Cafe2U mobile franchise's start-up package fast-tracks franchisees business launch by three months, allowing them to reach a level of daily sales that previously took on average up to this period to achieve.
“It has been the best thing I’ve ever done. At the end of my eighth week and it has been fantastic. I’m getting invited to Christmas parties, and I’ve retained the great customer base I started with. We generated excellent custom from the start.
“There was a new field manager allocated to help me, we were both there for the launch and both built up the business together. We have maintained the same customer base as we did from the start and I couldn’t be happier. I have fun with the people I visit, and I love making them laugh. People look forward to seeing me each day.”
Andy has become a bona fide local and brewed his fine blend at the Pinjarra two day motocross event for juniors and seniors recently, donating 10% of the takings back to the organisers to put money back into the club.
He also completed the Great Escapade WA in March, which charted a total of 567km in nine days. “I met many people on the ride and we were all hanging out for a decent coffee on those hills. I Love cycling, it has helped improved my fitness after a full knee reconstruction in July last year.”
