Bucking Bull ’s newest franchisees revealed that they had a shopping list of “must haves” which needed to be met by a franchisor before they would consider purchasing a franchise. These included things like:
- Product offerings to have wide market appeal
- Recession proof and growing industry category
- Good value for the entry price
- Solid systems in place for every aspect of the business
- Support staff to have extensive experience in their area of specialty (marketing, merchandising, WH&S, food handling, cash management etc)
- Long history in business (and in the industry)
- Proactive management style which encouraged input from franchise owners
Bucking Bull met every one of these criteria and more. In fact one of the new franchisees has owned other franchise business and advised that she is quite amazed by the level of support she receives from Bucking Beef in comparison to her previous businesses.
Bucking Bull is also at the right stage of the business cycle – the growth stage. It is not Australia’s largest food franchise group which means there are still plenty of fabulous location opportunities available, compared with the limited opportunities available with some of the bigger groups. On the other hand it’s not a new and small franchise group either. It has been around since 1999 and now has 24 stores around Australia. It has high brand awareness, a demonstrated track record, highly experienced management staff, proven systems and a well established preferential supply chain.
