The litigation business was commended on its achievements over the past year including Australia’s largest cash deal and take over advising BHP Billiton over WMC Resources and its sixth consecutive ‘Employer of Choice’ citation by ‘Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Agency’. 40% of the legal franchisee business’s lawyers are recommended by Chambers Global 2007 as leaders in their field demonstrating the firm’s talent and ability to provide high quality service consistently.

Other recognitions that adorn Blake Dawson include the top ranking for M&A in mergermarkets Australia and Asia-Pacific after transactions announced for the first half of 2006. The legal franchisee business also ranks second in the ‘Thomson Financial League Tables’ for announced deals in New Zealand and Australia with deals worth over $23.8 billion.
