Ben and Jerry’s has been spreading Peace, Love and Ice cream since 1978 when Ben and Jerry founded the business after doing a $5 ice cream making course. Store locations:

We are focussed on premium sites which maximise the exposure of the brand and drive sales for your business. Scoop shops are about our customers having a 360 degree brand experience. We have a saying that “pints don’t talk to customers but scoopers do”. This saying goes to the heart of our dual distribution strategy which includes scoop shops and pint freezers in select speciality retailers and grocers. Our scoop shops are where our customers get the full Ben & Jerry’s experience. As a guide we look for sites in locations which have the following characteristics:

• General perception of the location speaks for the Brand personality.
• Location associates with, and is full of the target consumer group, especially in terms of the age group (young professional adults), both on weekdays and weekends.
• Area already has traffic generators both for weekdays and weekends thus securing physical traffic centered on the target consumer
• Areas which attract both day and night foot traffic to drive opportunity
• Highly visible locations, even from a distance
