Franchisees honoured at national conference for Battery World retail franchises
Battery World Australia held its annual national conference recently in Coffs Harbour, where the company recognised the performance of its retail franchises across Australia over the past twelve months.
Operators of all 76 Battery World retail franchises along with management and suppliers gathered at the conference, which was held at the Novotel Coffs Harbour Pacific Bay Resort.
A total of eight awards were given out, with the Ipswich store taking out the top title, Franchisee of the Year, as well as Marketing Excellence.
Lawnton was recognised with the Best New Franchisee award, and Townsville the Community Recycler of the Year.
The Tweed Heads and Burleigh retail franchises took out the Operations Excellence award, while Geelong was named Battery World’s most improved store.
In the group categories, Western Australia (Perth) won the Marketing Excellence award, while Western Australia (as a regional group including Perth, Mandurah, Bunbury and Albany) were the Community Recyclers of the Year.
General Manager John Pascoe acknowledged the efforts of all the Battery World retail franchises over the past twelve months at the conference, explaining that the awards were an important way to both recognise and encourage franchisees to continue delivering growth for the company.
“The conference was a great opportunity for franchisees and staff to focus on what is important in our business and set new goals to continue our position as the leader in the growing alternative power market,” he said.
Mr Pascoe also explained that the company sees great potential for further growth, and aims to establish more retail franchises throughout Australia in 2011.
“This year the focus will be on the continued expansion of our stores in NSW with around another five major territories planned for the Sydney area,” he said.
