AWARD BOOKKEEPING COMPANY was established in 1998 to increase the level of expertise small business owners had available to them.
At that time many small businesses operated in an "accounting void" and often relied on instinct and gut feelings to manage their enterprise. Award Bookkeeping Company undertook to provide general accounting support and period-end accounts in a more timely and cost effective way. This provided clients with a more realistic and total picture of the health of their businesses allowing them to more easily seek finance, prepare for tax liabilities and understand how financial reporting could assist them in making sound business decisions.
When the GST was introduced in the year 2000 the opportunity to expand Award Bookkeeping Company became a high priority. The decision to use the franchise model came from the desire to pass on the knowledge gained from the years of experience operating the original business model.
