Customer service key to Aussie Pooch Mobile’s success

Winners of the 2004 Franchise Council of Australia , “Price Waterhouse Coopers ” Franchisee Regional Awards were announced on Friday the 6th August. The NSW\ACT gala dinner was held in the Thomas Keneally room at the Marriott Hotel in Pitt Street, Sydney.

Jim McGowan, who is the Master Franchisee for the Aussie Pooch Mobile franchise in Canberra, won the “2004 NSW\ACT Franchisee of the Year, Home Based and Mobile Division” for the second year in a row against many other well-known franchise organisations. The pet franchise is a member of the Franchise Council of Australia and is Australia’s leading dog wash and care company which washes in excess of 20,000 dogs per month nationally.

Jim has always been a dedicated dog owner and five years ago decided that this could well be the career move he was looking for. Since then Jim hasn’t looked back as he has seen operations in the A.C.T. grow to a point where there are now seven pet care franchise partners with nine trailers servicing Canberra and Queanbeyan.

Upon receiving the ACT/NSW Franchisee Home-based and Mobile Award for 2004 Jim said, “Franchising with Aussie Pooch Mobile has been everything I was initially offered plus more. The support I have received has seen both my business and myself grow. Receiving this award is certainly a great honour and I could not have achieved it without following the Aussie Pooch system. To have won this award two years in a row is almost unbelievable”.

Jim believes that the reason for this success with the pet grooming franchise is simple.

In regards to the mobile franchise, he goes on to say, “I feel that providing exceptional customer service is the single most important aspect of running a service-based business. If a customer continually receives exceptional service, they will become invaluable loyal clients. They will then continue to refer my business to friends and family. Customer service is the key to the success of any business and with the high level I provide, my business will continue to be successful”.
