In the Financial Review’s Smart Investor Magazine annual survey Aussie Pooch Mobile Dog Wash and Grooming was recognised as one of the top franchises of 2009.

A group of just nine franchises in total, including Aussie Pooch Mobile Dog Wash and Grooming Service rose above over 1000 other franchise groups in Australia. These select franchises stood out from the crowd due to their success and brand recognition, especially during the difficult economic times many businesses have faced over the past year.

In 1991, Christine, then a 21-year-old Queenslander, launched the first franchisable dog wash and care company.

Aussie Pooch Mobile now has more than 18 years of experience and has proved to be one of the more successful and stable home service franchise companies in Australia and now the world.

According to Christine Taylor, Aussie Pooch Mobile founder and director of the company, for Aussie Pooch dog wash franchise network it was a case of getting back to basics, and looking at what the customers and franchisees really wanted and needed.

"We looked back to what we did when we began in the recession of 1991 and then we undertook customer surveys to find out what our customers really wanted," Chris Taylor told Smart Investor Magazine. "They showed that savings, value and convenience were what they were looking for. But, more importantly, the customer wants to know that the operator cares.

"We've been able to aim the delivery of our service at what the customers' and their dog’s needs are. They treat their dogs like members of the family and, although times have been tough, they want their two and four legged kids looked after. This is where Aussie Pooch Mobile Dog Wash and Grooming becomes part of their extended family,” says Christine.
