What is Glycolic Acid?

Glycolic Acid works to dissolve the ionic bonds that hold dead skin cells together. The cells are then able to very gently be sloughed off to allow new healthy cells to the surface. When old dead skin cells are removed the appearance of fine lines is dramatically reduced and the skin retains a healthy glow and smoother appearance.

It is imperative to use sun protection when using AHA's, as many skin concerns we treat with Alpha-H are directly related to sun exposure ie; premature ageing, sun damage, pigmentation and age spots.
Is tingling normal when using Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHA)?
It is quite normal to experience some tingling when you start using an AHA. Once the skin has become accustomed to using more active ingredients this effect will lessen. Alpha-H products contain many soothing & calming ingredients to neutralise this.
When can I expect to see results?
Results may vary from person to person. Generally our customers see an improvement within 5-7 days of commencing with an Alpha-H skin management programme.
Can I use Alpha-H in conjunction with other skin care ranges?
Alpha-H products can be used with other skin care ranges, however we have formulated our range to provide maximum benefits and results with correct pH levels. If they are used in conjunction with other products, we are unable to confidently foretell the outcome.
