New AllSafe Energy Efficient Products store in opened Mackay QLD
Wayne Swan’s words were not yet cold regarding Allsafe Energy Efficient Products Group creating, around 900 new “Green Collar” jobs, and James Bidgood opens another Allsafe store in Mackay QLD.
The demand for sustainable products in the North has immediately warranted the opening of a Mackay store. As the group expands, more Green Jobs are expected to be created through the rapid expansion of one of Australia’s environmental products suppliers.
Federal Treasurer, Wayne Swan opened Allsafe Energy Efficient Products Group’s new national administration centre in Brisbane in 2009. He identified that the energy efficient products group is a boon for Green Jobs. James Bidgood MP is also of similar thinking. MR Bidgood MP opened the Groups new Mackay Franchise in August 2009. He is convinced that that the company’s rapid expansion is partly as a result of the Government’s economic stimulus packages.
Mr Swan explained, “Allsafe is living proof that the Commonwealth Government’s stimulus package and climate change policy are creating jobs. The company’s rapid growth is a direct response to the Government’s Solar Homes & Communities Plan and the $4.3 billion Energy Efficient Homes Package.”
Sean Cochrane, Managing Director of AllSafe Franchising Pty Ltd - AllSafe Energy Efficient Products explained, “The effects of the Global Financial crisis, has seen many Australian companies pulling back and shelving plans for expansion, while Allsafe is powering ahead for two main reasons.”
“The first reason is that there is the strong environmental and financial motivation for Australian households and business to become more energy conscious and find ways to reduce their energy consumption,” Mr. Cochrane said.
“The second reason is that the Commonwealth Government, through its solar homes and energy efficient homes packages, has helped make this goal much more achievable’. The Allsafe group promotes quadruple bottom line sustainability as increased sales of Sustainable products, driven in part by Government Rebates has resulted in a win for the environment, a win for the Australian community, a win for jobs and a win for Australian business as they move quickly to satisfy this new demand,” Mr Cochrane concluded.
Over 18 months, Allsafe has opened six new energy efficient products franchises employing more over 100 staff.
Allsafe’s plans to establish 12 stores in the 2009 financial year with 52 new Allsafe franchises set to open across Australia within the next 36 months. This is set to result in a total of 936 new direct green jobs for the Australian economy, with 342 in the 2009 financial year. The energy efficient products franchise group is also looking at expanding to New Zealand, the USA and South Africa in late 2010.
Mr Rickards, Owner of Allsafe’s new Mackay franchise store explained, “The Environmental industry is growing as people look for ways to save the Environment and save money that they normally spent on energy bills. With the new rebates in play – well that is terrific assistance and we plan to help people to take full advantage of it.”
