Your investment on show with David Reid Homes

Most builders call them a ‘Display Home’ but we prefer to call our Display Homes our ‘Showhomes’ - because they really do put the best we can do ‘on show’. Sleek, modern and uniquely Australian, featuring the latest technology and stunning interior designs, our Showhomes really are in a class of their own. In fact, our first ever Australian Showhome, built by our Sunshine Coast Northern franchisees, Dan and Amanda Rogers, won the QLD Master Builders Award for ‘Best Showhome over $380,000’ in 2005.

As the word spreads about David Reid Homes, we’re committed to an on-going expansion strategy that will see a number of new franchises opening up right across Australia in the coming months. The construction of a brand new Showhome will be one of the first things that these new franchisees turn their attention to.

Roy Baker is responsible for training and working with all of David Reid Homes’ new franchisees, and Roy tells of a very well established investment market for David Reid Showhomes in New Zealand. “We’ve actually got a waiting list over there for investors wanting to get involved. It’s not uncommon for you to see advertisements for homes that we’ve built, where the headline points to the fact that it was once a David Reid Showhome” says Roy. “With the Master Builders Award we received for our first Showhome here in Australia, and with several other stunning Showhomes under construction right now, it looks like we’re on track to repeat the New Zealand experience.”

If you’re looking for a low maintenance and stress-free investment, why not find out more about investing in one of our Showhomes?

On offer is a solid 6-8% return on your investment for a guaranteed lease-back period of 18-24 months. We’ll also pay electricity and insurance for the term of that lease, and because no one actually lives in the home, the wear and tear on your investment is minimal to say the least. In fact, we’d challenge you to find an investment property that will be better presented or better looked after than your very own David Reid Showhome.

At the end of the lease it’s up to you. You can move in yourself, or move some tenants in and maintain the former Showhome as a long-range investment option. We currently have a number of brand new Showhomes available for purchase in regions including Cairns, the Hunter Valley in NSW, Hervey Bay and the NSW South Coast.
