What is the history of MBE Business Service Centres franchise?

In 1980, the first Mail Boxes Etc. (MBE) centre had an ambitious goal: Provide small businesses with a better, more convenient way to meet their basic daily business needs. In a matter of months, the value of the MBE approach became clear and the opportunity became enormous.  

Today, the market continues to evolve. One of the most significant developments is the rapidly growing number of small businesses that demand quality services and time-saving convenience. MBE Business Service Centres franchise foresaw these changes and developed services that add value to businesses of every size. Why "business services"?  

MBE is not a "single product" franchise like a baker, signmaker, quick printer or inkjet cartridge seller. We provide the full range of business services with the mission of making our clients.

Because MBE provides such a wide variety of services, every business - large or small - needs the services we provide. Even if a business has their own copier or mailroom, MBE can help them.  

MBE is the only company in Australia that provides the whole solution. CREATE PRINT COPY DELIVER.  

We are able to receive a file by email, layout the document, set it up for variable data printing (personalisation), print it, finish it (staple, fold, hole punch etc) and send it around the world – often overnight. MBE can also handle the large print jobs that most companies struggle with. If that was not enough, MBE can also process incoming mail and forward it to any destination.  

MBE is positioned to provide valuable, comprehensive services to their business clients.  

But I don't know anything about print or mailing!  

Not many of our franchisees started out in the printing or the mailing industry. Franchisees undergo an intensive training program that covers all aspects of the business.  

The MBE Franchise concept is based upon devoting your time to managing and developing the business throughout your market. You will employ the necessary people to handle the day-to-day printing and equipment operation. The amount of time spent in your Centre for client interaction, supervision and day-to-day operation will vary depending upon your management abilities, employees and methods of operation.  

And further advice and help is on hand when needed - Area Managers are in constant contact with the franchisees.
