What are you licking at?

What we do here at Trampoline gelato franchise is pretty much unique – certainly the flavours are unique but so are our ingredients. And our gelato is made on site, fresh every day. Here’s a bit about who we are, what we do and what we believe in.

Is it gelato or ice-cream?
Gelato is Italian for ice cream and the basic ingredients are the same: milk, cream and sugar. But unlike most ice cream, Trampoline gelato contains less fat and less air, leaving room for more natural ingredients like fresh fruit and nuts. We reckon the Italians do it pretty well (make gelato that is) so we adopted their tradition of making it on site, fresh daily. It’s hard to beat.

What’s so special about Trampoline Gelato?
Well lots of things but we figure that one of the main ones is that we use fresh milk and cream (rather than powdered) and we know exactly where it comes from. Our sister company, Burra Foods, produces dairy products in Gippsland, one of the highest rainfall, greenest and best dairy producing areas in Australia, and YES! The world.

We don’t quite know the cows’ names but we know the farmers who milk them because they supply us. And Burra only use the best most fastidious farmers because they ship some of their products to the very fussy Japanese market.

We use all natural, real ingredients. We use Australian ingredients where possible but sometimes the best comes from overseas (our chocolate is Belgian, our pistachios are Iranian & our hazelnuts are Italian). But the majority of our ingredients are from Australia … less Food Miles!. And we are wholly Australian owned.

Why is our gelato so smooth?
In short, great ingredients, huge freezer, top quality churn, served fresh. The smoothest, creamiest gelato comes straight from the churn. If it has to be transported half way across the world, it ain’t going to be smooth.

What’s a Trampoline got to do with gelato?
Trampolines and gelato are soul mates! Trampolines are for the free spirited. They’re about summer and sunshine and backyards; memories of happy times and falling about laughing.

Do we care?
Only about our staff, our customers, the environment and people who maybe aren’t as lucky as you and me. Unlike many ice cream franchise stores, we give you your gelato in a paper cup with a wooden spoon made from a sustainable source. Our new Trampoline ICE cups are made from corn starch so they biodegrade in a matter of minutes (well that's true if you put them under hot water but they take a few months if they end up in landfill). And our brochures and gift vouchers are printed on recycled paper.

We work with select charities predominantly associated with kids and youth to support people that might need a little joy in their lives for whatever reason. We regularly take Trampoline into the Royal Children’s Hospital to support Challenge and kids with cancer, we support our local communities - schools, footy teams and a myriad of charities.

Do you have to be Italian to make great gelato?
Do you need to be German to make a good sausage? Or French to be a good kisser? Or Australian to do a good bomb off the diving board at the local pool?

The Italian tradition of “artisan gelato” (made on site) is the only way to deliver an exceptional product. While our appearance is modern and unashamedly Australian, the Trampoline dessert franchise product is true to this great tradition. We may have a few stores but that doesn’t mean we are lowering our standards.
