Trios has healthy wrapped up

Trios, the ‘fresh and tasty’ healthy sandwich wrap franchise that is quickly expanding across the country is ‘wrapped’ by recent research that shows Australians are increasingly looking to food that is low in fat and cholesterol.  

Trios, whose specialty Laffé Wrap is exactly that, back recent research conducted by BIS Shrapnel that shows Australians are looking for healthy meal alternatives and they provide the goods. Trios Managing Director, Mr David Elia said Trios had Laffé wraps from as little as three grams of fat to accommodate growing consumer demand for healthier options.  

“Trios is a good option for the health-wise consumer because it’s dedicated to providing fast and healthy food using fresh ingredients, all wrapped up in the delicious and unique Laffé Bread,” he said.  

“Our menu reflects our commitment to health with options like our Thai Chicken Laffé having only 3.8 grams of fat in the whole wrap.”  

Healthy food providers such as Trios are capitalising on the demand for healthy eating and the consumer swing away from the traditional retailers that have dominated the market. “More and more people don’t want to eat something with more fat than there whole daily allowance but they still want quick, tasty food.  

Trios currently operate 14 stores across Victoria and New South Wales with plans to open up to 10 more across New South Wales and Queensland by 2008.  

As a franchised company there are opportunities for other business entrepreneurs to capitalise on the healthy movement. Mr Elia said the recent findings prove that Trios has a strong market value and has the potential to grow rapidly.  

“We are continually refining our product offering to be healthier and meet the highest nutritional standards to help our customers. For the person on the go, there are very few other healthy eating options available.”  

Trios are already enjoying success; however, with its unique and tasty low fat, low cholesterol Laffé Bread Trios can expect even greater market penetration over the coming years.   

With immense scrutiny being placed on fast-food operators’ meals, ingredients and overall health benefit, Trios’ menu comprises over 30 meals that would make any health-conscious fanatic water at the mouth. The unique Laffé Bread is made from either white linseed, wholemeal or sourdough bread; each with different nutritional benefits but all low salt and low fat.

These are then filled with gourmet fillings and dressings that can accommodate even the most fickle of eaters. Trios also offer a range of fresh salads and baked potatoes packed with a choice of fillings.  

“Trios is a good option for the health-wise consumer as we have many options less than 10 grams of fat per serve.  

It seems the age is passing for the fast-food giants of old. Research on the risks and problems associated with obesity and high-fat foods have been extensively publicised and it is now time for the new face of fast-food to take the reigns, with Trios at the forefront.
