Trios franchise heads north

Trios franchise founders Elias, Sam and David Elia grew up helping their mother to bake authentic Lebanese bread you just couldn’t buy. Now that bread is at the heart of their business Trios, a franchise worth $10 million.

With the signature Laffé Wrap, hand-tossed salads and baked potatoes, the sandwich franchise is flourishing in Victoria and New South Wales, and now the brothers are on their way to Brisbane.

“Brisbane has a lot of potential because no-one has yet claimed the city’s new-age sandwich wrap market,” says Trios Managing Director David Elia. “The doors are now wide open for prospective franchisees both for single and multi-site opportunities."

While the brothers are aware of the increasing competition in the fast food franchise market they’re confident of growing demand for their product.

“We have a unique product that answers the needs of the consumer who is health- as well as time-conscious,” says David Elias. “This is unusual in the fast food game, but it is obviously a recipe for success as all of our stores have experienced continual customer growth and increased profit margins.”

In just over two years, Trios has grown to 13 stores. With a solid franchise module in place, the forecast is to have 20 stores by the end of 2006, and to double that number in 2007.

“Essentially, anyone who wants an improved lifestyle and has a passion for good health and good food can run a successful Trios franchise,” David Elia continues. “We have also set up the Trios Food Group so franchisees have the opportunity to manage multi-site operations if they chose to expand their business.”
