Australian-owned homebased franchise, Universal Telecom, has launched a service allowing businesses to become virtual telecommunications providers. Targeting ISPs and businesses with excess telecommunications capacity, the Telco in a Box franchise offers a bundled package of telecommunications services allowing the franchisee to provide a managed infrastructure solution backed by customer billing, payment services, reporting and competitive call rates.
The telecommunications franchise acquires network access in bulk at prices allowing resellers to sell telephony services at competitive rates while adding their own sales margin, it said.
”The telecommunications industry has matured to a point where it is now possible for a much wider range of organisations to become players,” Universal and business services franchise MD and owner of the mobile franchise, Damien Kay, said.
”This solution opens the door for anyone with a PC, phone and Internet access to become a ‘virtual telco’ without the hassle of running their own infrastructure or billing services. A reseller simply sets its margins and pricing. It can then focus on signing up customers and building a brand, while we take care of all the heavy lifting,” he said, in regards to the Telco in a Box mobile phones franchise.
Telephony is delivered through the AAPT and RSL COM networks, while Internet access is sourced through Connect Internet Solutions. Under the service model, telecommunications franchise partners on sell services on a virtual basis without the need for infrastructure, while Telco in a Box telecommunications franchise provides the CRM platform. The business services franchise is also offering financing arrangements, allowing new telcos to spread up-front costs over time as revenue builds.
