Elias Elia As CEO of the Elia Group and the eldest brother, Elias is responsible for expanding and sharing the experience and flavour of Trios’ unique menu of Laffé
Wraps, oven-baked spuds and crunchy
salads with customers around the world.
Elias has extensive experience in franchising having been involved in establishing a national franchise system as a manager for Airport Doors and is proficient in office management and accounting.
Elias has a passion to deliver fresh and tasty foods backed by superior quality service. The first priority of Trios has always been to satisfy customers better than competitors and he believes high quality service is essential to this goal.
Elias also manages the Elia Group’s portfolio of companies including Trisand and ESD property management, as well as a number of other restaurants.
Elias consistently pushes the envelope in all areas of the business. His considerable knowledge and insight of real estate, banking and tax opportunities has enabled the company to achieve the success it enjoys today.

Sam Elia Middle brother and Chief Marketing Director of Trios, Sam is the passion behind the brand and master of promotion. With a prolific history in food retailing and restaurants his role is to research market trends, build brand awareness and encourage repeat business through marketing and public relations activities. His goal is to ensure customers think of Trios first when eating out of home. Sam works hard to ensure Trios becomes a market leader in its category by offering a fresh service experience and unique flavor profile that keeps customers coming back for more.

He believes the key to Trios’ success has been the close partnership between the brothers and their ability to respect and balance each other’s strengths and weaknesses. Since 1985 when they first conceived the idea for Trios, their dream has been to share their passion for delivering a superior standard of service and a unique selection of
fresh gourmet foods with their franchisees. The brothers want their people to be together, strong and proud to deliver quality customer service just as the Elia’s brothers are committed to staying together.

David Elia
The youngest of the three brothers, David’s role as Managing Director of Trios is to create the vision, develop the structure and recruit the key consultants and advisors that will assist the company to fulfill its mission. David aims to foster a dynamic company that is driven by the vision and passion of its leaders. The brother’s humble beginnings have taught David valuable lessons about business management and given him a strong desire to succeed. He values the importance of family working together and ensures that the decisions affecting the company are always made three ways.
David aims to grow the company’s network of stores across Australia. Queensland, Victoria and New South Wales continue to present growth opportunities for the
health food industry, as their populations and economies strengthen. Trios is also working towards major expansion in other states.
The company has secured an international master franchise agreement in the Middle East and has been busy opening 6 stores over the past years. The brothers are also interested in the possibility of expanding to Japan, France, India and Indonesia in the near future with an agreement already in place with a USA joint partner to expand into US, China and its territories.
David believes the best thing about starting the company is the opportunity it provides to meet intelligent and passionate people as well as the satisfaction that can be seen on a customer’s face when they bite into a delicious Laffé Wrap from Trios. Sharing a meal with family and friends was an integral part of the brother’s upbringing and the common denominator was always Laffé flatbread. Filled with tasty and fresh gourmet ingredients, the Laffé Wrap is a taste experience that he aims to share with customers around the world. David is focused on continually introducing tasty new fillings and gourmet combinations to the menu to tempt the taste buds of Trios’ loyal customers.
