The H & R Block franchise - one of the leading tax return service providers

The H & R Block franchise offers accounting services in Australia. The origin of the accounting services business dates back to more than fifty years. Henry and Richard Bloch are the founders of the tax agent.

The founders started their bookkeeping services in the name of the United Business Company, with a focus on small businesses in Kansas City, Missouri. The founders, who are also brothers, added to their portfolio the additional service of preparing income tax return for the executives of their client companies.

The name, the United Business Company was changed into H & R Block Inc. in 1955. Henry is the president and chief executive officer, while Richard holds the position of the chairman of the board. The H & R Block franchise opened its first offices in 1972 in Sydney and Melbourne in Australia.

The very next year saw the accounting services provider opening offices in all capital cities. H & R Block boasts that it prepares about six hundred thousand returns annually and is one among the leading tax preparation firms in Australia. With headquarter in Sydney, H & R Block offers its services to taxpayers in more than 360 offices throughout the country.
