Teachers flock to Jumping J-Jays

The education sector has been Jumping J-Jays leading source of new franchisees for 2006/2007. The sector now has in excess of 30% of its workforce employed part time with the majority having just returned to the workforce after maternity leave and now juggling their new family commitments.

Many are looking at business opportunities (such as Jumping J-Jays) to complement their skill set, industry training and family to give them a substantial supplementary income that a part-time position could never provide.

“Jumping J-Jays has well over 17% of it’s franchisees involved in education.” The bouncy castle franchise, being predominantly on the weekends or school holidays, offers teachers a fantastic opportunity and has proven that it can easily complement the lifestyle of someone involved in the profession of teaching. Combined with a National Booking Office which takes all customer phone calls while they work, Jumping J-Jays is suitable for teachers to keep their day job and build a business for their family. ”A recent jump in franchise investors has been from within the education system quotes John Newton, Founder of Jumping J-Jays. I see this business as a very good transient business for a huge number of part time teachers.”

“It’s perfect for teachers that want to build a successful business but also want to continue working in the industry they studied so hard for.” John Newton The recent influx of teachers can also be attributed to the companies “award winning” Local Area Marketing Program which forms the backbone of the company’s success. The program is based upon building strong relationships with pre-schools and Primary Schools offering free school promotional programs. These programs have been designed to allow children to enjoy the healthy bouncy activity of jumping on our castles and to allow the schools to use this activity as a fundraiser.

Bevan Stephans, a school teacher from Townsville, was so impressed by Jumping J-Jays that he made the decision to become a franchisee.
“My wife and I had been looking for a business that suits our lifestyle when we came across Jumping J Jays. When we investigated Jumping J-Jays we were impressed with the idea of a weekend business that we can run from our family home. We bought into Jumping J-Jays as we were both able to keep our day time jobs and continue in our careers. Melody is a Clinical nurse at the Townsville Hospital within the Renal Dialysis unit, while I teach Science at Kirwan State High School.”

“Jumping J Jays is organised and the support from the National support office is unwavering. The call centre also contributes to the success of this franchise. Working full time we want to spend as much of our free time with our two small children. The call centre enables us to carry on with our usual daily activities without having to be a slave to the phone. The call centre staff are friendly and experienced at sales and up selling our products to achieve the best possible outcomes for our business."

"This happens while I am at school teaching and my wife is at the hospital working. This business suits our lifestyle as I have every weekend and school holidays off which allows me to deliver a majority of the castles myself. Most weekends I can organise the delivery and pickup of the castles freeing up the rest of the weekend to spend with the family.”
