Success stories of the Cold Rock franchise

Tea Tree Plaza, SA

Lauren, Louise, Toby and Adam were Cold Rock Ice Creamery franchise customers while they were at university and they liked the concept so much they opened a store at Westfield Tea Tree Plaza. In 2004, Toby and Adam set up a warehouse and now make ice cream for all the ice cream franchise stores in South Australia.

Cronulla, NSW

Whilst holidaying on the Gold Coast, David and Gabriella Rose saw the Cold Rock franchise concept and they loved it. Both saw the potential and decided to open an ice cream franchise site, in Cronulla, Sydney. It took some time but they found a perfect Cold Rock franchise site and within their first 18 months of trading David and Gab won store of the year and marketer of the year in 2005. They also secured the marketing award for 2006.

Newcastle, NSW

Ben Hofman worked and managed Cold Rock Terrigal and Darwin before searching for the perfect location for his own ice cream franchise. After considerable research Ben decided on Newcastle in NSW and set out to investigate suitable Cold Rock franchise sites. Ben selected Beaumont St in Newcastle because of the 30 restaurants and great nightlife. On the 26th December 2003 Ben opened his first ice cream franchise and on 13th December 2005 he opened his second store. At 23 that’s quite an achievement.

Helensvale, Qld

Peter and Ian were interested in opening a business in the new Westfield Shopping Centre at Helensvale on the Gold Coast. After hearing about the Cold Rock franchise and with further investigation Peter and Ian set out to open their very own Cold Rock store. In their first year of operation they were recognised for their achievements as rookie operators of the year 2006.

For those interested in opening an ice cream franchise, or an opportunity in any other sector, it may be beneficial to access the buying a franchise and running a franchise sections.
