Ben Hofman worked and managed Cold Rock Terrigal and Darwin before searching for the perfect location for his own ice cream franchise. After considerable research Ben decided on Newcastle in NSW and set out to investigate suitable Cold Rock franchise sites. Ben selected Beaumont St in Newcastle because of the 30 restaurants and great nightlife. On the 26th December 2003 Ben opened his first ice cream franchise and on 13th December 2005 he opened his second store. At 23 that’s quite an achievement.
