Within three years of taking on his first
Pizza Hut franchise Troy Sequeira has enough equity in the business to be ready to purchase another two.
Previously a Pizza Hut manager, Troy decided that as a franchisee he could use the same operating principles he was already using to reward himself with the profits of a very successful business. He spoke to other franchisees, sought independent legal and accounting advice and took up the challenge.
Troy became the first Pizza Hut franchisee in Brisbane and despite his previous experience, he found the first few months challenging. "My wife Christine was very supportive and continues to manage the accounts for the business," said Troy. "It didn’t take us long to settle in and now we have a very good life. I have a strong and dedicated team here at Wynnum and I can choose which days I work and when I start."
Troy has won a string of corporate awards. "The key to my success is that I use the management tools available to me. The user-friendly support networks provided by Pizza Hut make it easy," he said. The number of Pizza Hut franchises in Queensland is rapidly increasing but the growth there is just part of the bigger picture of Pizza Hut’s continued expansion across Australia.
