Smith & Sons real estate and property franchise originated in 2006, when our founding director, Corey Passey, went out searching for a renovation and extension builder. Not just any builder, a great builder. After an unsuccessful journey and hours of contemplation, he decided to create an extension and renovation business where home owners could get a professional team to design, quote and build exactly what they wanted. From there, he developed a system and created a group of licensed builders that specialize in renovations and extensions.

2007 saw the opening of Smith & Sons building franchise in Mooloolaba, Queensland, Australia. The founder’s goal from the outset was to provide great designs, quality service, superior service, affordable prices and above all, to create a relaxed and stylish design center. Corey worked hard and Smith & Sons was an instant hit.

“What we set out to create with Smith & Sons renovations franchise was a contemporary and professional renovation and extension business, which would set us apart in the renovation industry. At the same time, we wanted clients to realize that although we were using the latest building systems, tools and technology to renovate their home, we still embodied old time business values such as quality, honesty and reliability. We feel this combination creates the perfect launching pad for a successful renovation company.” Corey Passey, Director.
