Smartline has picked up the award for the 2007 mortgage group of the year at the Mortgage & Finance Association of Australia's (MFAA) National Excellence Awards held recently.
The awards recognise the mortgage and finance industry's most successful individuals and businesses.
The MFAA award follows Smartline's successes at the Australian Mortgage Awards in August 2006, where it was named 'Operation of the Year'.
Smartline's Managing Director Chris Acret said that Smartline is probably bigger than most people realise. We have 140 franchises, and are now in every state in Australia and are settling over $2 billion pa in loans. But we're really only just getting started. We aim to grow our franchise network to over 300 franchises within the next three years.
With over 85% of Smartline's business coming from a personal recommendation, and have recently helped our 50,000th client, the strategy seems to be working."
