Signwave franchise strengthened in business services

The Signwave franchise recently strengthened its network by opening a new franchise in the Melbourne suburb of South Yarra. This brings the total number of centres for Signwave across the country to 19, with six centres now operating in Victoria.

The business services franchise is owned and operated by John Wylie, who is looking forward to “the challenge of starting something new and building a successful business that customers like to deal with and employees like to work for”.

As general manager for a large corporate mobile phone company, Wylie gained invaluable first-hand experience in running a company and leading a team towards success, both strategically and financially. His main focus was on achieving sales targets and implementing new business plans, and in addition, was also the driving force behind major marketing campaigns and product launches. He has also gained international experience though spending five years setting up and managing a dealer channel for a company in the UK. He has a Masters Degree in Marketing.

So, why did Wylie choose to buy a Signwave franchise?

“Signwave was attractive because it was based on a proven franchise model,” he says. “It also targets the business-to-business market, which is where my experience and interest lies. Also, through my various roles I have been able to strengthen my knowledge of technology, which will be to my advantage because the signage market is also becoming more and more technology driven.”

Wylie has a young family, which was a contributing factor in deciding to own his own franchise.

“I wanted to be in charge of my own destiny and build a successful business that I could be proud of. Ultimately, I wish to leave a legacy for my family and children,” he says.
