With 355 stores employing nearly 7,000 people across Australia, the Red Rooster franchise key focus has been developing its franchise operations. As a result, the number of franchised stores leapt from 16 per cent in 2002 to 30 per cent at the end of the last financial year. There are also plans to open 32 new stores by the end of the financial year and to double the number of franchises in Victoria and NSW within two years.
“It’s no secret our company is Australia’s most successful privately-owned fast food brand and the largest operated oven roasted chicken chain,” says national fast food franchise manager Alan Tulloch. “Franchisees are even moving states to be able to get in on the ground floor with the opportunities being created by Red Rooster.”
Chairman Nick Tana recently told his company’s national franchise conference that franchisees are vitally important to Red Rooster’s continuing marketplace success.
“My board is totally committed, I am totally committed, and through that we will drive our Red Rooster franchise business forward,” he said. “Our objective will be to make a Red Rooster franchise a keenly sought after franchise by increasing your profit and asset value and if we do that the rest will follow. Your success is our success and our success must be your success.”
