The team from the Sydney-based Oz Bin Cleaning franchise has a lot to enthuse about.
Since cleaning its first bin in 2001, OZ Bin Cleaning has steadily built a solid customer base and developed a recognised brand within the Sydney area, and has just announced an expansion into the regional New South Wales market.
The home services franchise commenced franchising in late 2004 and now has two operating territories in NSW in addition to the company-owned operation. Its first regional franchisee is based on the NSW mid north coast.
Needless to say, the presence of a franchisee in a regional area is of special significance when your organisation thrives on word-of-mouth advertising.
“In a smaller community, customers are more likely to use and support local business. What’s more, income from a regional operation can sometimes exceed that of a franchisee in a metropolitan area due to the high level of customer loyalty and lack of heavy competition,” explains OZ Bin Cleaning co-principal, Penny Campbell.
Mark and Penny Campbell believe OZ Bin Cleaning already has a strong competitive advantage in the bin cleaning industry.
“Our mobile cleaning units are able to clean, sanitise and vacuum dry any size bin and are fully self-contained, using recycled water and biodegradable solvents,” Mark Campbell says.
“The environmental advantages are huge,” Penny adds. “The mobile units are designed to use only a fraction of the water you would use if you cleaned the bin yourself, and waste water is recycled then disposed of according to local council and EPA guidelines.”
Franchisees are provided with exclusive territories and the ability to service residential and commercial customers, and by tapping into a fragmented, disorganised market have the opportunity to gain plenty of repeat business.
With four more franchisees confirmed to begin trading within the next three months, OZ Bin Cleaning looks set for continued growth.
